Finally the Relic Knight kickstarter has arrived.

Ok finally after two long years, the Relic Knight Kick starter has fulfilled is part of the agreement, and even if shipments have not been the best of all in the long and difficult process that has been this kickstarter, at least now I have some minis, here are some pictures, well a lot of them really:

The box in all its glory
 just opened
after removing some packaging material

 the inclued  base inserts
 more boxes
 yet more boxes

I like the boxes they look really good
more boxes and what looks like the end of the box
mm no, really more stuff below there

 Everything toghether,

The armies together, as stated by Soda Pop only the cerci box is not the production one.

by now I have already started to built some models an I will post them tomorrow.

Reviewing the actual cost of entry to wh40k, Space marine version

After living with the actual prices for a while I got thinking about the money needed to field your first army, on a budget I m not talking about a winning list here just a playable one, mostly because not all players think about that when they are new, my thinking goes more on the boxes or blisters needed when you don't have or don't like the introductory box set (]remember AOBR is going out, and no everyone will want the new one) For that you will need at least the codex, 1 HQ and troops.

space is a premium that must be taken care of.

Since I live in a rented house, space is a premium and I'm forbidden to drill holes to mount  shelves, I must get creative, and it occurred to me that something could be attached to my desk so here is the final result:

now I have more space to display my minis. I hope that ideas of back mounting a shelf gives you ideas you can use in your workspaces.

A bit little retouching on my TAU Broadside

A long time Ago I did my Tau Broadside and to date it remains as one of the few tau minis that remains properly painted after the chipping paint disaster that befallen on all my tau minis last year.

so after having my paints in a more accessible location I decided to touch up the paint job a bit by adding a few power lines on the weapon and changing the color of the missiles to yellow here is the final result, after I finished I think it is worth your effort to do it on your standard minis it might look even better after it.

Keeping on the gaming

After seeing the enthusiasm generated by the last tournament I’ve been thinking about sponsoring another one this year, mostly to incentivize the new players, and since I found the original prize for the last tournament plus some few other things I want to hear if you would like it , if yes what ideas would you do like to add to have a new and improved tournament.

Here are my ideas so far

this round maybe for a nominal fee so we can purchase some things from pactare to include as prizes.

I would like to use stratagems and spearhead rules, what do you think?

we can have one tournament with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place or 2 tournament with prize for the first prize in each.

in the event of 2 tournaments we can go for a lower nominal fee in each or a higher one for a better prize in the second round.

those are my current musings, what would you put on the table.

Musings for the new tournament rules

Here I will start to compile new rules for the tournament, the ideas are general  but It will lead me to the final rules that will integrate into a campaign for the supremacy on pl3-40:

First the obvious, I want to create a map to  keep track of all the gains

as we increment the points value the result of the battles will give you benefits or eliminate disadvantages.

I will use some stratagems like terrain features that will be revealed after deployment that will grant a boom or a blast and you wont know until is too late.

in brief I want to have a rich colored campaign that goes along the tournaments. so lets see how it goes.

Showtime weekend

This weekend I was invited to the IPMS (our country plastic modelers assoc.) convention  by one of the sponsors of the event to help show hellboy’s and my minis how cool warhammer is to the public.

Overall is the first time my minis get that much light and is gratifying to hear good compliments on my minis.

I got invited by the association to participate next November that pleases me a lot and will work on one or two models to my best.

here are some pictures on how my minis were displayed.
