a couple of terrain Pieces for my Warhammer 40k and Warmachine games Part 1

Today I felt in the mood to prepare some dificult terrain, so I cut some Styrofoam and a bit of ceral box cardboard and created some terrain features:

As I had a can of Testors Grey primer that I havent used since it failed me with my Tau I decided why to expend my good cans on something as simple as creating craters on the terrains, and  look what happened, I spryed and spryed and it didnt eat the material, first time in my life that a can of spray paint doesnt eat trough the material. I dont know if it is becuase it really is that bad or if it is a testor primer it lacks the necesary chemicals to melt the styrofoam.

So after I switched can it started to look better

As yo can see on the last picture they look blasted enough, lest see how it  looks after I apply glue and Sand on it.hope to do it next weekend.

Ok, until next update.

Ramping up the power on the tabletop

OK last week I posted my cpu fan turned into part of a power plant for our games, and then I said that the cpu cooler was next, well it is here look at it:
this time I added some more bits to stile it into a Gothic 40k power station, I only need to do an altar for it to be properly done but I think it works now here are more pictures including the cursory wip ones.

Resuming work on the long lost Ork Fighta

After more than a year after committing to the challenge I finally resumed work on my Ork Fighta, What I did this week was to add some guitar strings  a cockpit and reimagined the wings.

As you can see time  has taken its toll since one of the rear wings is missing

the missing vertical control surface will see a serious revamping once I decided on the general shape, for the cockpit I went simple and just glued an space marine console and a Ork torso with arms, posed everything together  and glued the cockpit to the main fuselage.

here is the work I did on the wings, so far is just 3 plastic sheets sandwiched to get a more robust surface that sadly it still needs some pieces to make it work.

Musings for the new tournament rules

Here I will start to compile new rules for the tournament, the ideas are general  but It will lead me to the final rules that will integrate into a campaign for the supremacy on pl3-40:

First the obvious, I want to create a map to  keep track of all the gains

as we increment the points value the result of the battles will give you benefits or eliminate disadvantages.

I will use some stratagems like terrain features that will be revealed after deployment that will grant a boom or a blast and you wont know until is too late.

in brief I want to have a rich colored campaign that goes along the tournaments. so lets see how it goes.

Preparing my power station

I'm working right now on my power station, I decided that I should be an Imperial one so I added some scrolls and bits  to do its part, I will try do base it next weekend and get it ready for play by next month.

Recently I got my hands on a broken server and one piece caught my attention, the cooler for the power unit, what do you think, but to me I it scream scenery.
