Work on my Second AOBR Captain
As I didn't have a Shield that was big enough I simply used the back carapace of a tyranid warrior glued to a wood elf plus a scroll and an Imperial Aquila to have a shield and for the hammer I clipped the sword tip and clued the remaining bit of an ork weapon plus the controller box of a hunter missile from the Rhino box to simulate a Thunder Hammer. What do you think it looks the part?
Scratchbuilt looted wagon part two
I have kept the progress and even if I still need to add the turret in a detachable form or another, my innermost mekboy is pretty happy with how it is turning out. For the turret i plan on a open top one but that will complicate the work a lot so i hope to do it properly.
An scratchbuilt Ork looted wagon challenge
first the Images to inspire me

I modeled a door on the rear part and some exhausts
then a cabin
and then went crazy building the treads like 36 ones to be precise
Then I used some plastic studs and glued them against each other to help me create the frame for the tracks.
and currently I have finished to glue the basic shape
it is turning into a great looking tank, I just nee to decide If I need a turret for that S8 weapon or a Transport with a slight better armor.
If it turns ok I might decide to do a tracked Battlewagon or two as those would definitively help my Orks to be really mobile just like I like them.
Testing my Tau XV25 Paint Schema
surfing around I found two pictures, one with a quartered schema and other with an activating camouflage, I like them both but I was unsure with the second one, due to my personal abilities as an artist.
So today I painted one of them to test the schema here are the pictures but be warned that is a picture heavy post
Resuming work on the long lost Ork Fighta
After more than a year after committing to the challenge I finally resumed work on my Ork Fighta, What I did this week was to add some guitar strings a cockpit and reimagined the wings.
As you can see time has taken its toll since one of the rear wings is missing
the missing vertical control surface will see a serious revamping once I decided on the general shape, for the cockpit I went simple and just glued an space marine console and a Ork torso with arms, posed everything together and glued the cockpit to the main fuselage.
here is the work I did on the wings, so far is just 3 plastic sheets sandwiched to get a more robust surface that sadly it still needs some pieces to make it work.
here is the underside where you can see the area I reserved for the landing gear
one last overview picture
What do you think?
Im throwing the guanlet here in Guatemala.
Since we are currently 3 players each other 2 times and helps to referee at least 2 games.
- If I recall correctly we can field 500pts from a battle force so I will allow that as main army and up to 250 points as sideboard.
- All games will be objective based with 5 objectives per game and tabling is allowed.
- Points are 3 for wining 1 for a tie and 0 for losing .
- The referee has to annotate how many objectives has a player captured.
- Is allowed to play a different army per round played, if you have them.
I have one eldar warlock and one tyranid warrior that I plan to offer to the player that wins more games and he takes home his choice of miniature.
In the event that a tie is outstanding at the end we can do one of the following:
- If time permits a 250 points game is played following the kill team rules in the battle missions book, winner takes the prize home.
- If not enough time then we sum the captured objectives to determine winner.
Update: I corrected some grammar for better reading.
This week update
From the game I got inspiration for a challenge to Hellboy, I have in my posesion 3 tyranid Warriors that could end up being better in the hands of him so I challenged hin to the following:
I will sell him the tyranids a retail price (they are already assembled and painted) If he keeps his armies as they are
A 10$ discount if all his minis are black primed by next week
another $10 discount if in 2 weeks all have the bone carapace painted
and if they have a base color in their skin on top of all of the previous then the warriors are free.
I hope Hellboy manages to achieve the challenge
here are today's pictures:
So far until next time.
Ork Fighta challenge wip 4
the I cut the wings so there where some flaps, doing that I got carried away and did some damage to the plastic.
you can see that i decided to add a little detail on the area where the flaps are located, then I decided that the tail was too simple and proceeded to add a vertical flap
finally I worked on the landing gear and since it is a ork vehicle it comes to reason that it must be really simple, but it still needs something to look finished so here it is.
I think that overall the model is coming along well. next time i will try to weaponize the model.
Ork Fighta challenge wip 3
where is the fighta looking better with them
I added some tubing to reinforce the wing union.
I also added a burna boys tank to the right side of the fighta. an a mekboy banner to the top.
then I started to cut some rivets
and then I proceeded to glue them and it is starting to look great.
Overall the fighta is looking great and I hope that is finished soon.
