Resuming work on the long lost Ork Fighta

After more than a year after committing to the challenge I finally resumed work on my Ork Fighta, What I did this week was to add some guitar strings  a cockpit and reimagined the wings.

As you can see time  has taken its toll since one of the rear wings is missing

the missing vertical control surface will see a serious revamping once I decided on the general shape, for the cockpit I went simple and just glued an space marine console and a Ork torso with arms, posed everything together  and glued the cockpit to the main fuselage.

here is the work I did on the wings, so far is just 3 plastic sheets sandwiched to get a more robust surface that sadly it still needs some pieces to make it work.

here is the underside where you can see the area I reserved for the landing gear

What do you think?

Ork Fighta challenge wip 3

Ok today I decided to continue working on the Ork Fight, so I took a plastic sheet to create the wings.

where is the fighta looking better with them

I added some tubing to reinforce the wing union.

I also added a burna boys tank to the right side of the fighta. an a mekboy banner to the top.

then I started to cut some rivets

and then I proceeded to glue them and it is starting to look great.

Overall the fighta is looking great and I hope that is finished  soon.

Ork Fighta challenge wip 2

I start this post with the pleasure of knowing that there are new recruits and that is a great thing since they bring more variety to our group.

And now my ork fighta received it fair share of work (about 1 hour I had to spare) and the first I added some intakes on the sides  then adorned the front grill  and finally added some patches, next objective is to create the wings .

I don't like this picture because even when the side intake it  doesn't shows the enhance I did on the front. but i fixe that with the following 2 pictures that show the front in more detail:

here I like how the plastic pieces look like real metal patches.

Remember tomorrow about this time I will pick the anniversary give away so if you are planing to send something you still have about 1400 minutes to do it.

I'm awating.
