joining my HWK-290 to the rebelion

Ok I must admit it, I'm not that big fan of the HWK-290 from Xwing Miniatures game, but a few days ago I saw the mini repaint from Stephen Donn
and I knew I had to have one, so I grabbed my deneb stone some abbadon black was and my trusty old "blood red" color and I painted mine  here it is, I love it how it looks now:

for my method I didnt tripped the paint of the mini as I got into X-wing to play minis not to paint them not that I dont like to paint I love it but X-wing to me is about opening and playing, so I just painted the bened stone ober the old dolor as thin as possible, after all taking shorcuts is not the same as obscuring detail, after that I just applied  some black wash here and there to rise details and with red I painted over the original strips, it looks great simply great, after that I drybrushed some blue hues to get the engine effect, but if I get to work my aribrush I might retouch it.

Some touching ups on my Xwing ships

I have been doing small touch ups here and there on my ships, mostly to make them more personal, the most recent batch is my Z-95 squadron, so here they are:

the first one I painted was done for a friend that wanted that schema but the transaction never managed to complete

Next I just weathered my second z-95

of Relic Knigths and other stuff.

I have been painting and modeling some stuff I had laying around there.
I will begin with my Relic Knights Academy Guard, for those I opted for a non-non-metalic-metal., and I included the extra non because I'm not good with that technique.

Then I finally assembled a couple of War machines models, Alastair Cane and the female Jorneyman caster
and finally a special project for a friend a pair of pixies and a bard, the bard is missing a drum and a violin that will be painted and glued after each of them is painted.

I hope my friend likes it.

Until next time when I probably will start painting my Star Nebula Corsairs, so far I think I paintef all of my models for Doctrine.

Relic Knights my DiamondBack

I finaly worked on the Diamonback, a really masive model, I still need to work on the Noh, but I guess that faction will be sold to allow the rest to remain at home.
but  enough of it, better go to the stellar boy.

I began with a black undercoat and followed by mixin Adeptus battle grey with abbadon black to have a darker grey,

Next some highlights on Codex Grey and it looked a lot better.

Next I began detailing,  A drybrush of Ice Blue and Skull White that did the power weapon right
A bit of detail and a alert on flash that I corrected on the go
 some metal details

 and the base
 more power

 a bit lighting

and a bit of purple detail to help define it to the faction plus head optics.

Finally after taking the last picture  I built a little board and staged an scen with some minis I have done plus others that are on progress, what do you think?

Sadly one soldier dropped to the floor and Im with a headless model

Here is all for today, let me see how can guess what models are WIP and what are to be considered Done.

Until next time.

Relic Knigths Black Diamonds units

Hello, So Far I have worked mostly on my Doctrine minis but I finally decided on how to paint my Black Diamonds,
first were the chee Tanks, m8-Blitz, I used Adeptus Battle grey, highlights done with Codex grey,
details on various colors and a bit of freehand to differentiate them when they get to play.

first the base coat and metal on the tracks.

next it was details like lights and highlights

both have a number that is different of the other so I can pick them easily when battling together

Overall I love the chee tanks a lot they look so much of Metal Slug, a game I love. Next time is the turn of the Diamond Back.
